A persons interests change all the time

It's totally normal to have consistent favorites as well as changing ones. I often obsess about things rather than just have an interest in them. As I currently have more free time due to still looking for a job (Thanks COVID)! So during that time I have been exploring new things as well as revisiting old ones. So, I thought I would share some of my favorite things right now to maybe inspire you to try something new or revisit an old obsession you have.
1) Among Us
Yes I know, everyone is currently obsessed with this game but I have loved playing quite often with my friends. It's a good time to laugh and spend time with friends while playing an internet game! Having a new thing to do with friends when we still have a hard time meeting up in person due to COVID, it's nice to have something to connect with others over
2) Poetry Books
There are some really great poetry books that my friend let me borrow that I have been diving into. As I have been going on the journey of working on my mental health I have been exploring more poetry and have been loving it. They are quick reads but often make you think or have an emotional connection to something you are going through.
I recommend:
"When the world didn't end" by Caroline Kaufman
"Milk and Honey" by Rupi Kaur
"Break Your Glass Slippers" By Amanda Lovelace
3) Chiropractic YouTube Videos
These are so therapeutic to me, I love the popping sound haha. I am currently going to the chiropractor quite often but I am not getting that loud and satisfying pop, so I am enjoying it from other videos. I know this might be a weird one but once you start watching them its hard to stop. Alex Tubio is the Chiropractor that I watch the most. The relief you see in his patients eyes, makes me a content and happy viewer.
4) Drops
This is a language learning app that I have used for a while but recently I have been using it way more, and I am often on that if you see me on my phone. It is great for a quick study session anywhere and can help you expand you vocabulary knowledge as well pronunciation of the language. If you are thinking of learning a new language, I recommend this app for some extra help with Vocab and simple phrases. NO you cannot learn a whole language just using this app, but it's a fun way to practice where ever you are.
5) Just Reading In General
I have had more time recently to read and I have been soaking that up. I have gotten through 5 books this month and I don't remember the last time that I did that. Finding a past passion and being allowed to obsess over new stories and learn new things has been a blessing recently for me. I obviously know that reading 5 books in one month may be hard for most people as they lead busy lives, but I swear just even reading one book (If you like reading at all) will make you feel more centered and more content.
So find something that you enjoy and share you current obsessions with others!
