It has been so long without an update, so here it goes!

Where do I even begin.... the last year has been a chaotic one, all leading to the last 3 months. I have moved across the world to South Korea!
The months leading up to and the months since the move have been chaotic but in the best way possible. They definitely did have their up and downs and trenches.....but I made it to the other side.
Four months ago I was living with my parents, working at a bookstore, both of which I love but it was not where I truly wanted to be. Now, I am living in a smaller city in South Korea, teaching! I was supposed to come here in 2020 however COVID happened pushing everything back quite a bit. After quite an adventure, sorting out decent opportunities, I found a company that I was very excited to work for.
I am living on my own, working with some amazing children and exploring this amazing country. I am feeling more at home here with each passing day. Of course there are rough days, where I miss my family and just want to be back home with them. However, I am very grateful for modern technology that allows me to keep in touch with everyone back home, while having my personal adventure.
Taking the first step and actually looking for a job here in Korea was terrifying but when I finally did it, I was ready to take on the world! Work of course is hard and there are many days that I can't wait to leave to just stop thinking about work for a little bit. However the kids make it all worth with it. Yes, some of them are crazy and I want to scream when they don't listen to me but then they draw me pictures, or give me candies or get the giggles when I'm joking around with them. I am then certain that this place is where I am supposed to be at this point in my life. I am also extremely lucky to work with some amazing people who make each day easier to deal with! I spend most of my time with them.
When I am not at work, I am exploring my own interests along with the country. Since it has been very cold, along with the rising COVID numbers we have not been doing much traveling, but we have been exploring Seoul and other smaller cities around us. It has been really nice, getting to really see the place I am living in. While exploring the cities I'm also exploring more of my own personal hobbies, such as writing, reading and guitar. All hobbies that I put on the back burner for a while due to the chaos of life. These are allowing me to find my own schedule and path in life.
So with all of this, I want to say that I am doing very well and finding my own way in life. I also want to encourage you to jump on your dream no matter how big or small and live what ever life you want to.
So that is my quick life update. Here I am in South Korea, teaching and living my life. Can't wait for the day when my friends and my family get to come here and I can show them around and let them explore this place that I love!
