There is a part of everyone that needs to be creative, you just have to embrace it and jump in with both feet.
Opening up the creative side of you depends on how you choose to embrace it.
A creative side can be anything from artistic ventures such as drawing, painting, sculpting, or sewing to music, writing, video making, cooking or DIYing something. Being creative is not limited to one thing or style.
You can choose whichever outlet that works for you!
There is this idea presented by society that you are either a creative person or a logical person. I think people who focus on this idea lose sight of the opportunities creativity can bring a person. It helps that there are so many different outlets for creativity.
I mean even Sheldon cooper from the Big Bang Theory has his creative moments. He has flag videos and cosplay. These are not your stereotypical types of creativity but they were his outlets.
The point is that no matter how logical you are having a creative moment can grow your experiences. It wont hinder your logic it will only improve how you think.
While understanding how a creative outlet can positively impact your life, do not force it. Remember that it will come at its own time, and you will understand what your outlet is.
For me I am all about trying new things to understand the different ideas for creativity. I am currently learning how to play the piano and taking better pictures. While 2 outlets I have loved for a while are video making and writing, so that's why I'm here!
Obviously there are people who have more creative outlets than me, but there are also those with less. I am only saying that being open to creativity can help you understand who you are. Every one person is unique and processes the world differently. This means that no one person does the same things as another
Yes, of course there are numerous guitarist, writers, painters, etc. I'm not saying there is only one for each. I am saying that they all process their art differently from one another.
I encourage you to embrace your uniqueness when searching for your creative outlet. There is no "thing" that has to many people involved in it, because you could add in a whole new thought process or experience. THIS IS A CREATIVE MOMENT!!
My two main suggestions in finding out what is the best creative outlet for you are to venture out and experience new things and things you have been to afraid to try. You should always be open to learning new things. It allows you to understand the world from a new perspective.
Please remember that I am not a doctor so I do not have that knowledge of the brain or psychology. This is based off of personal experience, in finding out how creativity positively affected my life.
