Everyone gets warn out or feels overrun and stressed.... yet a lot of the times we rely on others to remind us to care for ourselves.

I say this from experience. I used to feel down on myself for not being all that I thought I needed to be, but then I realized that I did not have to be what everyone else needed me to be all the time, that I needed to slow down and take of myself. My mind, body and soul had all begun to wither away.
These are my top 5 small things to pamper yourself and remember that you are important and work a treat.
1. Skin Care Routine
Taking time out of your busy schedule to do a full skin care routine everyday, gives you a moment to catch your breath while you are showing your skin you care.
For me my skin care routine makes me feel refreshed, taken care of and even put together. It is a small thing to add in daily and not only helps your skin but also can clear your mind
An extra piece I like to add in when I need a little extra TLC is a facemask. You can use whatever kind your prefer but I love Korean sheet mask.
2. A Night In
I have a hard time saying no to people, so I always seem to have something going on.
However, everyone needs a breather. So, I suggest once a week or every 2 weeks depending on how often you can logistically do this, to cancel plans and have a night in.
You can design this to however you want it. For me a night in typically looks like reading a book for a little while then watching some Netflix with a cup of tea or ice cream and ending with a facemask and an early night in bed. That is mine, it gives me a chance to reset for the rest of the week.
3. Journaling
You can either just by a blank journal and get a guided journal. I do two different types of journaling everyday.
In the morning I use a guided journal called a gratitude journal. It gives me a chance to layout things that I want to focus on during the day and things that I am grateful for from the day before or just in general.
At the end of each day I take just a couple minutes and do a brain dump style journaling. Where you do not try to follow a pattern of writing but you just write out every thought to just get it out of your head.
For me journaling allows me a chance to get everything that is floating around my head out and on paper.
4. Learn Something New
I know this sounds like a lot or to broad but, what I mean by this is take some time to expand your knowledge or take up a new hobby. It will continue to push your brain but yet this is something that is for yourself, not for school or work.
Allowing yourself a little bit of time here and a little bit there to continue to educate yourself on whichever thing you choose.
For me personally I love music and languages, so I am currently doing Korean tutoring and am starting to take piano lessons. Those things are for me, I don't need to do them and they are not expected of me.
Taking time to keep your brain active, yet allowing yourself to branch out and try new things, for me is a great way to take care of myself.
These are things that help me take a step back and realize I need to take care of myself and allow myself room to breath. showing yourself that you care does not need to be all pampering style things, but things that allow you to grow and move in your own direction.
I hope these 4 things help you realize just some small ways to step back from the insane world we all live in and take care of your mind, body and soul.
