When working from home

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic a lot of us are having to readjust to a life online or at least at home. I am someone who strives on structure, so all of a sudden the lack of it was extremely stressful for me.
My morning routine has never been a concrete routine but it has always had the same steps in it, the order just varies and some steps may get skipped depending on how late I am running. Now however, I have all the time in the world, SO I take the opportunity every morning to take my time and not rush through my morning before I sit down at my desk to work.
For me I need to have this structure to get the most out of my days and actually get some work done. I have a set morning routine to keep me moving rather than staying comfy and relaxed all day. I have different schedule to get me through the day!!
My Morning Routine

For me changing to a new routine can be difficult and while my morning routine is not much different than it was, it still shifted. So in order to keep myself on track I typed up the routine that I want to follow and Hung it up in my room where I can see it everyday so that it makes it easier to follow! I don't need to look at it every step on every day but its there as a reminder of taking these steps to take a moment for myself and prep for the day.
It isn't just the stereotypical routine, but there are additions to set myself up to be productive at my desk as well as some small self-care things.
I prep my room by starting my diffuser and opening the window, while I take a second to journal every morning, and listen to some music that makes me smile!
Weekly list
This is what guides me through the week. Every Sunday I take some time and go through all of the different tasks I need to complete for the week, class assignments, class times, personal goals, Korean and piano lessons and work. It all goes on one weekly calendar that stays on my desk in order to keep me in order. I check things off each day as I do them, to make sure I am hitting all of my goals.
Doing this allows me to keep everything together and visible so I am not having to go to numerous different sources, and I am less likely to forget to turn something in or miss a lesson!
Daily list

This is my third system in keeping me in a routine and productive during a particularly weird time. For this, I found a template on Canva for a to do list and converted it into a daily checklist. These are goals that I want to accomplish everyday. It's simple things like make my bed, practice piano, do at least 20 min or physical activity. It is totally fine when I don't check off all of them in a day, but it allows me to see what I am letting myself slip on and correct it.
While for my weekly list I check items off as I go for the daily one, I sit down at the end of the day and go through it, checking off the things I have accomplished outside of school work.
These three things help me keep a tight ship on what I am doing on a daily basis and do not let me sit around in my pajamas all day watching Netflix. Those days are totally necessary but I try and leave those for the weekend and keep the weekdays as structured as possible. I hope these Ideas help you gain some inspiration on how to keep organized and have a structured day, while all of us are working from home.
